First Attempt a Second Time

Dear Friends and Family,
Our first attempt at blogging was, unfortunately a failure. We are pleased that Gabriel called to our attention that we had messed up...well, not "we," rather me. So,we try again.

I hope to be able to add information to the blog as we go along. This Thursday evening we will have the seven students (six girls and one boy) to our home to have a little gelato, strong Italian espresso and Italian pastries. We want to have conversations that will allow us to get to know each other and begin to make some choices about the trip. We depart on Saturday, August 16th. We arrive on the 17th (Sunday) and I begin teaching on Monday.

The normal schedule should be teaching one course each day beginning at about 8:30 a.m. for an hour to an hour and a half, and then taking the train into Rome for afternoon class at various sites. I'll update the itinerary on a weekly basis or more often if there is something interesting. Thanks for reading this.
